Welcome To Voice Magazine

Art takes so many forms that it would be impossible to list them on a page. But it’s a well known fact that United Press has a particular interest in poetry – just as our offshoot, the Short Story Society focuses on the art of short story writing. However, it doesn’t mean to say that the Voice website – which is aimed at the challenged but is not specifically limited to them – should be an exclusive preserve of poetry – and nothing else. That is why we want to hear from people interested in other art forms. So, if you are an artist, this could be your chance to put your work on a platform which receives half a million hits a year. The United Press website is extremely popular not just with poets, but with people involved in many other creative arts.

Therefore, if you are an artist, and you are able to email us some of your work, send it to us and we will try to put it on the Voice pages. Similarly, if you have written a short story which you want to feature, we will consider it. We are particularly interested in short stories about disability and how it affects lives.

As we have said before, it’s not vital that you are writing from the viewpoint of a challenged person. You could be a carer, friend, nurse, doctor, family member or health specialist. Whatever the case, we want to hear from you.
